The New Gold Wing her first day home

Dan on the old Suzuki Intruder 1500

In the summer of 1962 Danny worked for his Uncle Ben in Salome Az as a farm hand making $1.00 per hour 10hours per day 6 days per week. His goal was to buy a El Camino at the end of the summer. Well, that El Camino did not get purchased. What he got was a
Honda 55. That motorcycle was traded about 6 months later for a Honda 150 and then finally in the fall of 1965 Danny bought a Honda 305 Superhawk. That was his transportation for the next couple of years. He rode that bike from Lake Havasu to Santa Ana College and back while he went to school. In the Spring of 1967 he traded that bike for a 1960 Ford Falcon. As soon as he got that car he met Julie at Santa Ana College and the story began. The only two wheels that I had during the next 40 years was a Sears Scooter that my brother David left behind when he went missing and a bicycle.

Well, in 2003 Danny got back into riding again and purchased a 2001 Suzuki Intruder 1500LC. He rode that bike 31,500 miles and then this year 2007 on May 19th he sold that bike and the next day went back to Honda.

He now has a 2007 Honda Gold Wing 1800cc dream bike. Julie now rides with him. They just got back from a trip to Sacramento to see the birth of their third grandchild, Eliot.

So, he started with a Honda and now is back on a Honda. But this one is much larger.
Hope you like the pictures.
