Final Roll of film from the Road
These pictures were taken on the final leg of my 4600 mile trip this summer on my new bike. The first one starts at Cody Wyoming where I stopped at the Viet Nam Vets memorial. I did spend about 30 min there. From Cody I rode to West Yellowstone through the park. The pictures are of the park and I will title them as I post them. From Yellowstone I rode into Idaho to visit Fred and Kathy Sica in Idaho Falls. We had lunch together at Fred's work. I then rode on to Promontory Point, Utah to see where the golden spike was set . Got some good pictures there. This is at the northern tip of Utah and you can just see the Great Salt Lake from there. Then down a long 120 miles to Wells, Nevada and a motel. I hit the biggest rainstorm I have ever ridden into on that lonely road. I saw two cars in 120 miles. The rain really washed off the bike.
From Wells, the next day I made a big run to Nate, Kristi, Chloe and Eliot's home where Julie was staying. Trevor, Amy and Aidan were there and we had a great time with the entire family. I stayed for a couple of days and then headed home to Huntington Beach.
All in all I had a great time and the most interesting thing I saw was Devils Tower and then Crazy Horse Memorial. I had no mechanical problems and no crashes. Not bad for a 60 year old biker.

More pictures on the road
Still on the road. Here are some pictures from the second throw away camera. I got the film developed on a disk in Cody, Wyoming on the 30th of August.
BOB AND SANDI HAWKE AT 10,000 FEET
THIS IS THE ROAD HOUSE STEAK PLACE THAT BOB AND SANDI TOOK ME. IT IS IN ROSCOE MONTANA. THE SLOGAN IS "WHERE THE HELL IS ROSCOE MONTANA" I AM NOT REALLY SURE BUT IT WAS A LOT OF FUN.
NORTH DAKOTA BORDER
BUFFALO NORTH DAKOTA AT A SMALL GROCERY. THE CHECKER CAME OUT TO TALK TO ME AND ASKED ME WHY I WAS TAKING A PICTURE. I TOLD HER THAT I LIKED HER TOWN AND WAS RIDING ALL OVER THE WEST.

THIS LITTLE TOWN WAS IN NORTH DAKOTA. IT SORT OF REMINDED ME OF ROTAN TEXAS WHICH IS WHERE MY RELATIONS ARE FROM.
THE NEBRASKA BORDER
BOY LOOK AT THAT TRAFFIC
THIS IS A SIDE VIEW OF WHAT IS SUPPOSE TO BE GEORGE WASHINGTON'S HEAD. MOUNT RUSHMORE WAS COMPLETELY FOGGED IN.

SITTING BULL MONUMENT WITH A THROW AWAY CAMERA
DOUBLE CLICK ON THIS ONE AND YOU CAN SEE IT PRETTY WELL
MORE SITTING BULL
MORE SITTING BULL
DEVILS TOWER WAS AMAZING. THE NATIVE AMERICANS BELIEVE THAT THEIR ANCESTORS CLIMBED UP THE MOUNTAIN TO ESCAPE A BEAR. THE BEAR THEN SCRATCHED THE SIDES TO TRY TO GET AT THEM. THAT HAD TO BE SOME BIG BEAR.
BUTTS OF BISON. THERE ARE NO BUFFALO IN NORTH AMERICA THIS WAS IN
"WIND CAVE NATIONAL MONUMENT" WHICH IS BETWEEN MT. RUSHMORE AND CHIEF SITTING BULL.
YOU ARE ASKING NOW WHY DID I NOT PUT UP SOME PICTURES OF MT. RUSHMORE? WELL IT WAS COMPLETELY FOGGED IN AND IT COULD NOT BEEN SEEN
I DID STOP THERE TO MAKE MY ONLY REPAIR OF THE TRIP. I HAD EXTENDED MY WINDSHIELD DUE TO RAIN IN DEADWOOD. WHEN I TRIED TO PUT IT BACK DOWN TO THE LOW SETTING IT WOULD NOT MOVE. I HAD TO TAKE THE FRONT COWLING OFF THE BIKE AND UNSCREW A BOLT WITH MY NEW TOOL KIT THAT HONDA PROVIDED. IT TOOK SOME TIME BUT FIXING STUFF ON YOUR BIKE IS ALSO FUN.

Danny's 60th Birthday Road Trip
Well I am off on my trip. Here are some of the pictures. The route is, Calif up 395 through Oregon to Washington. Then East through Idaho, Montana to North Dakota. Then south to South Dakota and the Nebraska. West to Wyoming, then back into Idaho south to Utah and then finally west over the north end of Nevada to Ione to see the kids and where Julie is staying for two weeks.
The trip started at 12:30pm on Thursday August 23rd from Huntington Beach. Hope you enjoy the shots. They were taken on a disposable camera and I got a disk made at a WalMart in Spearfish South Dakota for the first camera. I have three with me.
More to come.
LoLo Pass and visitors center on the Idaho and Montana border. This was a long rest stop. I had a cup of coffee from the rangers and watched some Native American Dancers. I was really to tired to take pictures of them.
Billings Montana and Bob and Sandi Hawke's beautiful home. They took me in and we went out to dinner at a road house, steak house in Roscoe Montana. Then we went on a ride in the car up a mountain to 10,000 feet. Those pictures are on the next camera which will be up later.
This is the last one on the roll of this camera. It is a shot out on hwy 12 out of Miles City Montana. By the way that is where Gus Mcray died in Lonesome Dove.

I traveled along many hundreds of miles of rivers. One day as I left Oregon to Idaho I think that the total river run was over 250 miles
Lots of gas stops. This one in Oregon called Cougar Canyon. The gas was not cheap here but I needed to top off.
Here is one of the river runs. I had many a mile of these
More river. Getting close to the Idaho Montana border
